SCHLEY COUNTY 13 JOCO 12
The Johnson County Trojans (9-2) season ended in heartbreaking fashion on Friday night in Ellaville.  Schley County (8-3) defeated the Trojans 13-12 after a two point conversion attempt with 23.0 seconds on the clock failed (or at least that's the way it was ruled).  We got to that point after JOCO drove 80 yards in 9 plays in 1:46.  The biggest play of the drive was a 33 yard pass from D. J. Rozier to Deon Cuyler on fourth down.  D. J. Rozier went in from six inches away to score the touchdown.  This is the second straight year that JOCO has lost a heartbreaker to Schley County.  Last season Schley County ended the Trojans season last year on a last minute pass, 25-19.

The previous 46 minutes of the game went like this...  JOCO dominated the first half.  JOCO had 186 yards to 66 yards for Schley at the intermission.  However, the Trojans only held a 6-0 lead.  JOCO had a touchdown pass called back and then later on that drive fumbled at the 13.  The Trojans only score of the half came on a 16 yard pass from D. J. Rozier to Deon Cuyler.  Schley County controlled most of the second half.  The Wildcats got their first score two plays after a Trojan fumble on a punt return.  Their 2nd touchdown came with 10:45 left in the game.  The Trojans threatened in the third quarter.   Caleb Vickers picked off a screen pass and rumbled 31 yards.  However, JOCO couldn't take advantage of the turnover and turned the ball over on downs at the 17.

The Trojans had a great season even though it ended on a sour note.  Trojan fans have a lot to look forward to next season.
