JOCO 55 TERRELL COUNTY 14

The Johnson County Trojans (11-0) kept their undefeated season alive on Friday night with a 55-14 victory over the Terrell County Green Wave (5-6).  The 55 points scored by JOCO was the highest output of the season.  It gives the Trojans 456 points on the year, which ranks as the 2nd highest total in school history.  The state runner-up team of 1993 holds the school record with 493 points.  As has been the case most of the season the Trojans scored early and often.  Of the Trojans six first half possessions, four ended in touchdowns.  The other two ended with a punt and a turnover.  JOCO only ran one play in the 3rd quarter but managed to score two more touchdowns.  D. J. Rozier returned an interception 53 yards for one touchdown and ran 69 yards for the other.  The Trojans also scored on both of their fourth quarter possessions.  D. J. Rozier, quite possibly, would have had an 89 yard touchdown run if not for cramps hitting him about 40 yards into the run.  The Trojans managed to score after five more plays and then capped off the night with the backups scoring the final touchdown.  D. J. finished the game with 226 yards rushing on only 14 carries.  This put him over the 1,000 yard mark for the season (1,157).  On defense Tony Solen and Keemo Burton each had an interception and Rashad Walker recovered a fumble to help the Trojans.  JOCO will now host the defending state champions, the Wilcox County Patriots (10-1).  Wilcox's lone loss was early in the season to #1 Clinch County.  Come out to the Blue Monster early on Friday night because we're expecting a packed house.  Go Trojans!!!
