Johnson County Middle School
traveled over to Alamo in the pouring rain Thursday afternoon to take on
Wheeler County and returned with a win, improving their record to 3-0. That
“Trojan Bunch” was led by Ronqeuz (Shad) Harden and Cortlen Horne
offensively. Harden had 106 yards rushing with one touchdown on eight
carries, and 64 yards receiving with one touchdown. Dual-threat quarterback
Horne had a stellar day himself, passing for 154 yards and earning two
touchdowns while going 9-12, and rushing for 68 yards on nine carries. In
all, the JCMS Trojans ran up a total of over 400 yards of total offense.
Miketavious Stephens led an outstanding Trojan defense to its third
consecutive shutout with eight tackles and an interception.
Next Thursday at
4:30 p.m., the JCMS Trojans will host Montgomery County at Herschel Walker
Field, looking to wrap up a 4-0 regular season record. This will put them
into the playoffs as a #1 seed. Come on out and support your JCMS Trojans! |
