The Wilkinson County Warriors defeated our Trojans
21-0 on Friday night but if you were in attendance (and a lot of you were)
you had to be proud of the way our young Trojans fought against the #4
Warriors. Wilco put six on the board the first time they had the ball.
On a 3rd and 14 Wilco quarterback David Whipple hit Tevin Underwood for a 72
yard touchdown. The score remained 6-0 until 8:04 was left in the
second quarter. After a 39 yard pass completion down to the 3 yard
line, Whipple ran the ball in for the score. After the two point
conversion Wilco led 14-0. The final score of the night came with 41
seconds left in the 3rd quarter. This time Whipple hit Emonte Curtis
from 27 yards out for the touchdown. The extra point was good and the
score was Wilco 21 JOCO 0. The Trojans mounted their biggest threat
early in the fourth quarter. With our three most effective offensive
weapons cramping JOCO still managed to drive 59 yards down to the Wilco 13
where the Trojans turned the ball over on downs. The Trojans will
travel to East Dublin to face the Falcons this Friday. |
